To raise much needed funds, the SA Children’s Home is entering a team into the Cape Argus Pick & Pay Cycle Tour 2012. We’re looking for cyclists, regardless of whether you’re a novice or a pro, to join our team and ride for a purpose.
How do I get involved?
In order to ride as a member of Team SA Children’s Home you will need to raise a minimum amount of R3500. How you raise your funds is totally up to you and we will assist you with with PR material and publicity as best we can. Each member’s profile will be loaded onto our website, making it easy for your friends and family to pledge their support.
Ideas for raising funds:
Selling raffle tickets
Holding a fundraising event
Sponsorship from friends, family, colleagues, company by means of a straight donation or sponsorship per kilometer you cycle.
Corporate Sponsorship – Should you wish to a sponsor a rider, you will be given exposure by means of advertising on our website and in various pre and post publicity newspaper articles. You can also place your logo on the cyclist’s shirt.
As a SA Children’s Home rider, you will receive:
- Guaranteed entry into the race (SA Children’s Home will handle registration process for you)
- Start no later than 8:45 am (the last start approximately 10:00am) Bond members who qualify for an earlier start will be seeded accordingly with the option to drop down to ride with their colleagues.
- Late closing date for entries
- Special “goodie bag”
- Special area at registration for collection of race packs.
- Branded SA Children’s Home cycling jersey to wear on the day.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SHOULD NO MONEY BE RAISED, THE CYCLIST WILL BE EXPECTED TO PAY IN THE CHARITY ENTRY FEE WHICH IS R500.
